How RFQ and engineering inquiry data is handled

This policy explains how WEUP Connector collects and uses information submitted by automotive OEMs, wiring harness factories, EV manufacturers, electronics suppliers and importers through RFQ and contact workflows.

Information Collected

What we collect

The platform collects only the information needed to understand connector requirements, respond to inquiries and support project evaluation.

Contact details such as name, company, country, email and phone number.
Automotive application, product requirements, quantity and project notes.
Uploaded drawings, datasheets, reference models or specification files.
Source page information, such as the product or solution page used before the RFQ.

Purpose

How we use the information

RFQ and contact data is used for business communication, product matching, solution recommendations and quotation support.

Review connector requirements and recommend suitable products or solutions.
Prepare quotation, sample, engineering support or follow-up communication.
Improve product database coverage, solution content and RFQ workflow quality.
Maintain business records related to inquiries, quotations and customer support.

RFQ and engineering files

Drawings and specification files are used only for requirement review, connector matching, quotation and related engineering communication. The MVP stores file metadata for local testing; production deployment should use secured storage with access control.

Data sharing

We do not sell RFQ information. Inquiry details may be shared internally with sales, engineering and manufacturing teams, or with service providers that support hosting, email, CRM and security operations.

Security and retention

Production deployment should use HTTPS, protected admin access, secure database storage and limited team permissions. RFQ records are kept only as long as needed for quotation, customer support, compliance and normal business records.

Customer requests

Customers may request correction, deletion or a copy of submitted inquiry information by contacting the platform team through the contact or RFQ page.
